Typeset.md is a reader for Markdown files on macOS 26 Tahoe. Here is how the main parts work.

Open files

• Press ⌘O (File › Open…), or drag a .md file onto the Typeset.md icon.
• To open .md files in Typeset.md by default, select one in Finder, choose File › Get Info, pick Typeset.md under “Open with” and click Change All.

Quick Look

Select a .md file in Finder and press Space to preview it without opening the app.

Folders

• ⇧⌘O (File › Open Folder…) opens a whole folder.
• ⌘K (Go › Open Quickly…) jumps to any file in it by name.

Export and print

• Export as PDF: ⇧⌘E
• Print: ⌘P
• Export as Rich Text, for Pages, Word and Google Docs: in the File menu.

Edit the source

Press ⌘E to edit the Markdown source, and again to go back to reading. Ticking a task in the reader also saves to the file.
